Sometimes, in the slower moments, I am reminded that I am living in the “good ol’ days.”

When I’m overstimulated and running on the grace of caffeine, I often catch myself thinking about life “before” motherhood. I remember entering the season of praying for our baby—the years of infertility, the negative tests, the endless waiting, the unsolicited advice, and the “I get what you’re going through” comments from those who didn’t truly understand. I remember journaling about how sad and unfulfilled I felt. I remember getting a negative pregnancy test the month before deciding on IVF and thinking, “I’m done feeling this low.”

I firmly believe the most special things in life are worth fighting for—love, family, friendships, relationships, and your dreams.

Sometimes, when life feels off, I remind myself: I went through infertility, underwent IVF in NYC while living in New Hampshire, and gave birth to my miracle. If I can do that, I can do anything. Moms truly are real-life superheroes.

And if I can do it, you can too.

This is your friendly reminder: whether you’re in a season of waiting for a baby or in the thick of motherhood, you’ll find yourself one day sitting in the morning, coloring with your mini best friend, and realizing that everything you did to get to this point was worth it.

Officially upgraded Liv to a big-girl space!🖍️🧸🚂

A few months ago, we turned our office into a playroom, but we quickly realized she didn’t enjoy it much. She loves being in the action, so an open-concept play space felt more her style.

We took down her playpen (which, honestly, made me an emotional mess—maybe it was the chaos of Christmas or just the overwhelming reminder of how fleeting time is with a child). Thankfully, my favorite @baltarugs came through with the most plush and cozy option for her space!

I’m so glad she loves this area, and her dad and I are still close enough for her to glance up and see us while she enjoys playing independently.

Want your home to smell like Christmas? This holiday simmer pot is one of my favorites to make this time of year ✨🎄🎅🏼🍊

Add rosemary, cranberries, orange slices, vanilla, star anise, lots of cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg to a pot of water. Simmer on low, refill as needed, and let the festive scents fill your space!

Tip: if you have a real tree or pine trees outside, adding some small pieces to your pot is also so lovely!
